FDP - TEACHING WITH SIMULATIONS
Pedagogical Techniques for Experiential Learning
The simulation workshop is specially curated for faculty of business, management, commerce and engineering disciplines who are keen to upskill their teaching skills using simulation based educational tools. The two-day workshop will be a masterclass covering a wide array of topics ranging from ‘why simulations for student centered learning’, ‘experiential learning during simulation play’, ‘the vitality of debrief’, to ‘instructor guidelines for simulation effectiveness’. The sessions will be delivered online via Zoom platform.
About XIME & the Simulation Workshop:
The story of XIME’s
journey is one of sheer
determination and grit.
It symbolizes the vision and resolve of our
founder Prof. J. Philip, to build a world class
institution, rising as it has
done from its humble beginning in 1991. XIME has
three fully residential campuses in Bangalore, Kochi and Chennai, offering its flagship
AICTE approved PGDM programme, MDPs, FDPs and
other programmes for specific industrial sectors.
The Simulation Workshop is designed as a 10-hour
program exclusively for faculty members
and corporate L&D trainers. The participants will have a
detailed walk-through on the elements of administering simulations in a class
– the initial
brief, simulation setup,
controls during play,
debrief and review.
The participants will have the opportunity to play the simulation as a student
as well as comprehend the facilitator roles.
The workshop will
be conducted virtually on zoom platform
for the participants to attend the programme from
the comfort of their home
or office. The detailed programme schedule is as follows:
