Reporting financial information

Reporting financial information: As a part of the Financial Analysis & Reporting course, Batch 11 students were asked to create financial reports.

Task Proposed: Students need to contact an entrepreneur either online or offline for collecting the data on firm’s capital, investments in fixed assets, information on debt funds, interest details, revenue generated, discount allowed and received, details on manufacturing and other expenditures, information on current assets, tax payment, etc. Finally, they need to record all collected information by applying accounting system. They need to prepare Journal, Ledger, Trial Balance, etc.

 

Objective:

By conducting this initiative, students will get an exposure to the practical scenario and will be able apply their knowledge and skills to report financial information as per the Accounting Standards.

1.      Students must conduct physical visits in MSMEs in Kochi

2.      They need to collect some documental evidences or photos with the person to whom they        collected the data.
