Speaker Series by HR Club of XIME Kochi

HRuday, the HR club of XIME Kochi, kick started the first speaker series session of TALK-O-RAMA for the year 2020 on February 1^st.  The session was conducted as an ‘HR discussion platform’ with the theme of “HR: Today and Tomorrow”. The panelists for the discussion were;

•  Ms. Zeenath Rahman, HR Executive, Tablez India
• Mr. Ganesh Kumar, Partner, Scaleup Consulting LLP
• Mr. Anup PR, Branch Lead, TCS Kochi.

The discussion was moderated by Professor Rahul Laxman, XIME - Kochi. The three panelists were experienced Human Resource specialists from three different industries, which are: IT, Banking, and Retail sector. The discussion started with the introduction about each panelist, their domain experience and about HR industry, today. Mr. Anup threw light on how IT industry had developed their HR practices in the past few years. He also enlightened about the future of HR as the society is being moved toward the concept of gig economy. Ms. Zeenath shared her experience of being an HR in the retail industry - one of the industries with high attrition rate. The discussion was driven towards the requirement of improved HR practices in the banking industry because of emerging artificial intelligence and robotics. The discussion insisted on elevating the importance on upskilling HR managers with human relations practices for the future industry.
