Onam Celebration 2021

Onam, the state festival of Kerala, is celebrated with joy and enthusiasm by people of all communities. A festival reminiscent of Kerala’s agrarian past, is also considered to be a harvest festival.

 

Faculty and staff, XIME Kochi

XIME Kochi campus celebrated Onam on August 18th 2021 wherein the faculties and staff were dressed in the traditional attires. An elegant ‘Pookalam” and the traditional “Onasadhya” was very much part of the celebration. A “Thiruvathira” performance by the female faculties was recorded and showcased during the virtual Onam celebration on August 20th, 2021.

 

The virtual event was attended by all the students, faculties and staff of the college. The program started with a welcome speech by Asst Prof. Sony Varghese. Batch 8 and 9 girls graced the screen in traditional Kerala attire. Narration of the story of Onam and cultural programs  added colour to the celebrations.
