Independence Day Celebrations 2021
On 15th August 2021, XIME
Kochi held a celebration of the 75th Independence Day, with the faculty on
campus and students attending over Zoom. The event was coordinated by the
cultural club, MadX.The President of XIME Society, Dr. J Alexander set
precedence, by hoisting the National Flag and presided over the celebrations.
Following a message from Officiating Director and Dean, Prof. Alok Krishna, and
Independence Day address by Dr. J Alexander, various competitions (music, art,
dance and state representation) were held for batch 9 students.

The unifying theme
throughout the competition was “Freedom”. The students found innovative ways to
relate to the theme and held the audience captive. A short message was also
delivered by team MadX. Academic Excellence Awards for the year 2020-21 were
also announced on this occasion. The event ended with a flute rendition of the
National Anthem by Swaraj of Batch 9, followed by the Vote of Thanks delivered
by Athira Nair of Batch 8.
