Eye camp by XSEED Club @ XIME Kochi

 

“Life without eyes is not easy, take care of them” was the theme of the Eye Camp organized by  XSEED in collaboration with The Eye Foundation, Edappally on 10th August at XIME Kochi.

The objective of the camp were two fold: 

1. To provide free eye care services to the underserved population and raise
awareness about eye health.

2. To raise awareness about common eye diseases, preventive measures, and
overall eye health hygiene. Attendees were informed about the
significance of regular eye check-ups and the importance of protecting
their eyes.

About 120 benefited from the camp.  The process followed was Vision Screening followed by Eye Examination, Medical Consultation and Cataract Screening. Post the Cataract Screening those requiring surgical intervention were referred to The Eye Foundation for a free cataract surgery.
