Onam 2023
Onam was celebrated at XIME Kochi on 30th August, 2023 with great enthusiasm and passion. The campus was beautifully decorated with flowers followed by the Pookulam – the huge flower rangoli. All gathered in the campus premises at 2pm near the portico where the celebration commenced on the beats of Chenda Melam.
The function was held in Central Lawn with the Thiruvathira dance done by both batch 10 and 11 students which comprised 14 students. After the energetic performance, Malyali Manga and Sreeman competition was conducted and the students participated with great Josh. The following games were played both by teachers and students such as – Uriyadi, Lemon & Spoon, Tug of War. Among the games, the high energy with winning zeal was quite obvious. The surprise dance by teachers on Thiruvathira was beautiful and awestruck, followed by the rendering of a song by Mr. Mishal (Batch 11). 
Not to forget, the multiple rounds of Chenda Melam in between the activities was the main center of attraction for students and even the teachers couldn’t resist themselves to dance on its beats. Finally, the prize distribution was done to the winners for the above mentioned games. Mr. Sreeman was awarded Kush Khandelwal, while Malyali Manga was awarded to Ms. Shruti Rajagopal. The Tug of war winners were batch 10 students (both for female and male). The final vote of thanks was followed by yet another round of Chendamelam and thus the celebrations slowly wound to an end.
